I am a first time user of the product. The smell is pleasant and not over powering if you want to lather yourself in the product. It's a thin product where a little will coat your hands nicely. I noticed the smell stays around for about 3 hours even if you rinse your hands. It does have an oil component to the product so be careful if you put it on your soles.. This balm is fantastic. It smells lovely and works well. My son had a slight case of eczema and it cleared it up with one use. I also use it on my feet and it helps tremendously with dry skin.
