Sometimes it sets silky smooth; other times, it may feel a bit firmer or softer. This is completely normal and does not affect the quality or effectiveness of the balm.

Yes, it is absolutely safe to use. While uncommon, the grainy or gritty texture can potentially occur when the balm is introduced to different temperatures and environments during shipping or storage, causing some of the natural fats to gently crystallize. It’s a harmless effect in natural skincare. Simply warm a small amount between your fingers—the grit will melt instantly and absorb beautifully into your skin.

Our balm is rich in nourishing fats and oils—because it’s designed to deeply moisturize and restore the skin’s natural barrier. If your skin feels oily, no worries, you likely used a little too much. Our balm has a shelf life of about 12–18 months when stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Because it's free of water and synthetic preservatives, it stays fresh naturally. Be sure to use clean hands when scooping from the jar to keep it in its best condition.

Although our ingredients are gentle, natural, and carefully selected, everyone’s skin is different. Some people may be sensitive to specific essential oils or ingredients. If you experience redness, itching, or irritation, stop using the balm and consult a healthcare professional. For those with very sensitive skin, we also offer an Unscented version without essential oils.

Because our balm is completely natural and free from stabilizers, it may soften or melt slightly during shipping — especially in warmer climates. Simply allow it to return to room temperature before use.

Occasionally, temperature fluctuations in transit may cause a grainy texture to appear.

Don’t worry — it’s still safe and effective.

To restore its smooth consistency:

Ensure the lid is removed.
Add ½ inch of water to a small pan and bring it to a simmer.
Place the balm in the pan and let it melt gently for 5–10 minutes.
Carefully remove using kitchen tongs and place on a towel.
Let sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes, until it firms up but is still soft. Now, it is ready to use! Enjoy!
